Spring/Summer Friendship Tournaments Midwest Athletics is excited to bring its tournament operations expertise for boys & girls to Harper Woods H.S and Basketball City.. At Midwest Athletics we have a number of philosophies about how to run a great tournament that we are sure parents, coaches, and players will appreciate: 1. All events will start on time and be structured to stay on time throughout the event. We accomplish this through scheduling 40 minute games in 60 minute blocks. 2. All games will use state certified referees. 3. Gaps between games for any teams will never be greater than one hour and all three guaranteed games will be completed in five hours or less. 4. Tournaments focus on a single gender and only three different age brackets to assure greater depth and diversity of competition. 5. We cap the number of teams for each bracket to deliver on the principles mentioned above. Facility Information Basketball City: • Location: 16400 Eastland Dr. Roseville, MI 48066 • Facility: Tournament will be played on two regulation size full courts with new hardwood floors and goals. • Snack bar, locker facilities, close to major freeways. Facility Information Harper Woods H.S.: • Location: Harper Woods H.S.-20225 Beaconsfield, Harper Woods, MI., 48225 • Facility: Tournament will be played on three regulation size full courts. • Snack bar, locker facilities, close to major freeways. Friday Night Youth Tournaments Tournament registration starts every Friday night at 6:00PM, with tournament to start at 7:15PM. You must bring your own team, if that is not possible please call in advance. Teams will play a minimum of three games with a two game knock-out. Referees will be provided for each game. Each player from the winning team will receive an award. Ages 8 to 17: $10 per player Special rates available for schools and AAU basketball clubs.
